Lyrics Of This Card
THAT LITTLE SPARK
I am sitting in the sunny shade
Of your memories
Engrossed in the thoughts of
All that it is used to be
We were never seeing each other
In the true sense of the word
But it was always
All about you and me
Always together
That’s how it used to be.
We were best friends like
No one must have ever been
But inside somewhere there
Was a spark
I don’t know if
Anyone noticed it outside
But I guess we both
Knew inside the heart
That there was a fire
Behind that spark.
Never tried 2 encourage
The fire that tried to burn
But secretly never wanted
To make it over
The little spark that was
Meant to grow bigger
Was put off
By little drops of water
Little drops of water
That fell from somewhere
That hit like hailstones
Bad in the heart
Little drops of water that
Put off that little spark.
Who knows from where
The water came and we got wet
It destroyed our relation
And finished everything
Had we a clue
We would have saved it somehow
But the water came in
Without a hint
And in a moment
It just finished everything.
The spark that was
Beginning to turn in to fire
Was not yet strong enough
To fight the reason for its end
We both wished for it
To live forever
But it died off
Leaving behind a harsh silence
Because neither you nor me
Stood up against its end.
Never mind now
I am still very happy
Bathed in the sunny shade
Of our every single memory
And looking at the sun
That’s giving me the shade
I am wondering if
The sun could evaporate the water as well
And if it does so
All we have to do
Is to let the rays focus on our heart
To give a rebirth that that little spark
That we know hasn’t yet died inside our heart.
P.S.
This is in the memory of a friendship that could have turned into love, but unfortunately ended in a enemity.
